Sure, it’s convenient to have dozens or hundreds or books on one small device, but what about the feeling of calm I get when looking at a wall of books? What about the joy of hunting through the shelves of a second-hand bookshop? What about that smell of old, yellowed pages - or of new, freshly printed ones? What about looking up from reading on the bus to see someone grinning as they remember their pleasure when they read the same book?
